In 2001, the Enfants du Mékong association launched the Soieries du Mékong brand with a dual objective:
➡️ Train and give work to women to support their empowerment and allow them to stay in their villages with their families.
➡️ Allow the transmission of ancestral know-how which was destined to disappear.
Today, by weaving collections of scarves and wraps, Soieries du Mékong proves that it is possible to combine fashion, exceptional quality and responsible approach /strong>.
Exceptional know-how : patience, precision, delicacy are necessary to weave a light scarf : each piece is unique, designed in France and hand-woven in Cambodia, signed with the name and photo of the weaver who made it, on the label
A committed brand : women's empowerment is our daily driving force. By taking part in this adventure, you enable our weavers to earn a decent living from their art, acquire new skills and educate their children.
YOUR impact by ordering Soieries du Mékong scarves or scarves
Choosing Soieries du Mékong means supporting and promoting a bold project of women’s empowerment and transmission. It’s displaying the ethical values of your company.
Your impact by choosing to offer:
- 30 to 45 scarves, you ensure between 50 and 100 days of work for our artisans.
- 50 to 90 scarves, you ensure between 100 and 200 days of work for our artisans.
- 90 and 125 scarves, you ensure between 150 and 300 days of work for our artisans.
In this way, you allow these women to live, all year round, with dignity from their art and to support their families.
